New Zealand

New Zealand

3 weeks in Nelson and Tauranga visiting family before taking off on our big adventure 🙂 Thanks to Aunty Lynn and Uncle Lyn for having me stay, taking me over to see Golden Bay and for loading me up with green smoothies and healthy goodies! Oh and thanks so much for all the t-shirts and tea towels! Mum and Dad love them.

Dan met me at Auckland airport and from there we went to the Coromandel to meet up with some friends from Perth. Thanks for the hospitality Big Tone and Caitlin, so good to see you! The Coromandel is a beautiful part of New Zealand to visit. Add it to your to do list for sure.

Thanks to Chloe and Adam for Daniels bday money which was put to good use at the Luge in Rotorua 🙂 Rotorua is a popular spot for tourists who all like to visit the thermal pools. The sulphuric smell which greats you on the way in can be a bit much but you’ll get used to it. Then there is also the luge to visit like we did!

And thanks to Jana for Daniels birthday present of a training flight around the Mount! My heart has finally recovered from the backflips flips and sudden descents.

Big thanks to Clyde and Tracy for having us stay!

And for the night sky producing these epic stars…

A visit wouldn’t be complete without climbing Mount Maunganui…

And throwing shells at each other in the rockpools around the base of the Mount.

Hiked through some farmland and popped out to these beautiful falls.

Until next time 🙂
