How to Spend Longer Than 3 Months in Europe – VISAS

*This post is only good for NZ citizens/those who can acquire a kiwi passport! Sorry Aussies!*

If you are planning a Europe trip/any trip I hope you are aware/have researched the visa requirements for where you are going! It’s the departing countries responsibility to ensure you have the right visa for where you are going, so if you haven’t done your homework you may not be able to depart the country… Also your passport needs to have more than 6months left on it, including the time spent overseas (eg. If you have 9months left you can only be away for a maximum of 3 months). Basically it expires 6months before the expiry date as no one will let you go anywhere with less than that, so be sure to double-check that. (Pics from google images!) Continue Reading

Europe

Spain

Quick stops through Sevilla and Madrid before and after Morocco. 2 days in each is just far too quick to get a real feel for a place but we have a few snaps to share none the less! Sevilla is a beautiful city, we got a 2.5hr bus from Portugal through to Seville which is where our flight to Morocco was from (for very cheap!) I want to spend a good few months in Spain, but all in good time….andddd during summer. Europe, Surfing

Portugal

Oh Portugal, you gorgeous thang! 6 and a half weeks wizzed by way too fast. We got a bla bla car  that picked us up in France and dropped us off in Lisbon to pick up our campervan at the start of August! **Sorry for the late post! It’s been ready to go for 2 weeks but we haven’t had decent wifi to upload all the pics, it should’ve been ready yesterday and then I went and smashed my head and spent the afternoon at the hospital. Yay. I’m all good, terrifying ordeal, couple of stitches, few nasty bruises but it could’ve been much worse!** Continue Reading

Europe, Surfing

France

Bonjour 🙂 We have just spent the past 5 weeks kicking back in Southwest France at an epic Surf Lodge in Vieux Boucau. Such a rad time! We have both been to Paris before so didn’t feel the need to re-visit, choosing to spend our time oceanside instead 😀 *Sidenote: A few pictures were courtesy of the media team that stayed for a week-merci beacoup! The dodgy/fuzzy looking pics are taken by an iphone most likely in control of someone under the influence of wine*

Prague

From Kraków we got a bus into the Czech Republic then onto a train to Prague (through the same company so it was super easy and really good-wifi,tea,coffee and biscuits on the bus! Leo Express is the company if you’re wondering. Arriving into Prague (Praha is the real name!) we then jumped onto a tram straight to our apartment, ahhh thank you Europe for making it so easy to get around! The apartment popped up last minute on Air BnB and was quite cheap! Just across the Charles Bridge and under the castle. Prime spot. Continue Reading
