This is a stunning scenic drive that you’ll need a day to complete. The Road to Hana or the Hana Highway is 103km (65miles) and with all the stops it will take about a day. You can choose to stop at as many or as few sites as you like and there is plenty of info online for must sees.
Join us on the Waihee Ridge Hike Maui! Our time on Maui was short and sweet. It seems really small compared with the Big Island but then again I think it’s something like all the islands of Hawaii can fit into the Big Island more than twice. Flying from Kona on the Big Island we landed in Kahului airport, picked up a car and drove from east to west coast in about 25mins haha! Continue Reading
The manta ray night snorkel Kona has got to be one of the highlights not only from the Big Island but the whole Hawaii trip! Daniel put together a clip of the snorkel, pop it into 4K quality if your screen allows.
On the Southern most point of the Big Island and also apparently of the US is a good old cliff jumping spot. Located in the area of Ka Lae, the Southern Point cliff is about 7ish meters (25 feet) high. Enough to get the heart racing anyway. We didn’t actually know it was there and stopped by chance to check it out. It’s normally quite windy in the area so seeing it so calm was cool. Continue Reading
An absolutely breathtaking view while watching a Mauna Kea sunset. Literally -it was bloody freezing at the top! Around 11 degrees – it even gets snow on it in winter.
The Volcanoes National Park is pretty bloody epic. Definitely worth the visit. Walk through a crater, walk through a lava tube and go watch lava flowing into the sea. It’s got to be one of the easiest places to view it in the world?! Continue Reading
Kicking off our Hawaii series we take you to Hilo, located on the Eastern side of the Big Island. For anyone planning a trip to Hawaii be sure to include the Big Island!!
Tongariro Alpine Crossing is one of the best day walks in NZ! Judging by the pictures I’m sure you’ll agree. Check out our quick video of the drone footage here (put it in 4k if you screen allows!)
We have been home now since the end of January after spending 5months living in Medellin, Colombia. What a city! We never thought we’d see the day where we actually enjoyed living in a big city but Medellin changed that. Located way up in the mountains, 1495m is the average altitude. It really is a sight to behold driving from the airport and over the hill down into the city below.
The call of the ocean was getting severe so we booked some (very expensive) flights to Montañita, Ecuador!
